Each year, St. Peter's blesses animals at a special service. It is held near the October 4 feast day of St. Francis of Assisi to commemorate his love for all creatures. The next Blessing of the Animals at St. Peter's will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
